Brett Ruys is a performance poet, animator and theatresports actor born and bred in Whangarei. Brett is renowned as one of the most popular and youngest poets regularly performing at Dirty Word poetry nights in Whangarei each month.
who won the 2012 Going West Poetry Slam and went through to the national finals at the NZ Poetry Slam, is a Northland youth worker and the architect of the Dirty Word poetry evenings in Whangarei each month. He has toured his spoken word performances nationwide, including 2016’s Rangitahua: The Stopping-Off Place.
is a Kerikeri poet, writer, performer, actor, musician and trainer and holds psychology and creative writing degrees. Vivian is print and online published and was resident poet at CollaboratioNZ 2017, the biennial international art event.
Michael Botur is author
of four short story collections and hopes to have a novel published in 2017. Mike holds a Masters in Creative Writing as well as degrees in journalism, arts and literacy tuition. Mike makes a living as a writer in various mediums and has published creative writing in most NZ literary journals including Landfall, Poetry New Zealand, 4th Floor, JAAM and Tākahe.
Mike was in 2017 included in the University of Otago collection Manifesto Aotearoa: 101 political poems.
